Our Story
Local, Sister-Owned and Here for You
Bindi and Bird was founded by two sisters with more than 40 years of combined experience in home interiors. Today our team helps homeowners, property managers and businesses across Whatcom County and beyond find window coverings that look beautiful and fit the way they live.

Co-Owner
Jodie
Jodie is a co-owner of Bindi and Bird and is involved in the business from the ground up. She is hands-on and detail focused, working on residential and commercial projects from product selection through installation.
Many experienced window covering professionals have chosen to work with Bindi and Bird, and that trust grows from her leadership, consistency and clear standards.

Jolene
Jolene brings over 25 years of experience in residential and commercial real estate, with an eye for the thoughtful details that make a home stand out and leave a lasting impression. As co-owner of Bindi and Bird, she helps shape the company’s vision, partnerships and growth.
Designer
Shanda
Shanda is a designer at Bindi and Bird. She helps homeowners and commercial clients choose blinds, shades, shutters and drapery that look beautiful, work well and last.
Her goal is to help every client feel confident in their choices, now and for years to come.
Designer
Julie
Julie brings more than 15 years of experience in window coverings and interior design. She has lived in Whatcom County most of her life and knows the homes, styles and needs of the area.
With a strong design eye and a practical understanding of installation, Julie helps clients move through decisions with clarity and confidence.
Outside of work, you’ll find her boating with her family and exploring the San Juan Islands.

Prefer to browse in person? Our showroom is in the Cordata neighborhood, directly across from Whatcom Community College. Our designers are often out on home consultations, so appointments are preferred.
