Bindi and Bird is a local window coverings store in Bellingham providing custom blinds, shades, shutters, and curtains for both residential and commercial spaces. We work with homeowners, property managers, and business owners who want window coverings that perform well, look right, and hold up over time.
We are located in the Cordata neighborhood, directly across from Whatcom Community College. Our walk in showroom allows you to view products in person, compare systems, and talk through project requirements before moving forward.

Jodie, Owner
Jodie is the owner of Bindi and Bird and oversees the business from the ground up. She is hands on, detail focused, and involved in both residential and commercial projects, from product selection through execution.
Many experienced window covering professionals have chosen to work with Bindi and Bird. That trust is built through leadership, consistency, and clear standards.
Jolene, Co-Founder
Jolene is the founder of Bindi and Bird and provides strategic oversight for the business. With a background in real estate and long-term involvement in residential and commercial property, she brings a high-level perspective to how the company approaches space, function, and long-term value.
While the day to day work with clients is handled by the in-store team, Jolene remains involved at the leadership level, guiding direction, partnerships, and growth.
Shanda, Designer
Shanda is the Lead Designer at Bindi and Bird. She works with homeowners and commercial clients to select blinds, shades, shutters, and curtains that meet aesthetic, functional, and durability requirements.
Her role is to help clients make confident decisions that work now and continue to work long term.
Julie, Design Consultant
Julie is a Design Consultant at Bindi and Bird, bringing over 15 years of experience in window coverings and interior design. She has lived in Whatcom County for most of her life and understands the homes, styles, and needs of the area.
She works closely with homeowners and commercial clients to select blinds, shades, shutters, and curtains that feel right in the space and function the way they should long term. With a strong design eye and a practical understanding of installation, Julie helps clients move through decisions with clarity and confidence.
Clients appreciate her thoughtful approach, attention to detail, and ability to solve challenges along the way. She enjoys working with people and creating spaces that feel complete.
Outside of work, Julie spends her time boating with her family and exploring the San Juan Islands.
